Best Practice in Non-Animal Research Methods
26 – 27 March 2025 | York
Take a look at how our first jointly hosted scientific conference alongside two of the leading UK funders of animal replacement research, The Humane Research Trust and Replacing Animal Research, went!
The aims of this conference were to bring together researchers from all career stages to share expertise and experience, showcase innovative technologies and approaches in action, and reflect on scientific progress that is helping to replace animal use across research and testing.
We also presented the winner of the Animal Free Research UK Outstanding Scientist Award and Early Career Scientist Award at the conference.
We were particularly interested in hearing from researchers in academia and industry working in areas such as:
- Animal-derived biomaterial replacement and advancing 3D models
- Cellular microenvironment
- In silico advances
We also welcomed participants working in other areas of animal-replacement, including education, training and career development.
