Moving Beyond Animal-Derived Products
Animal-derived products (ADP) have long been a staple in research, but their limitations are becoming increasingly clear. Issues with reproducibility, questionable data relevance, and ethical and environmental concerns all point to the need for change. The Centre’s Transition Consultancy is here to support your transition.
How We Support During a Transition Consultancy
1. Consult
We work with you to identify which areas of your research involve the use of animal-derived products.
2. Advise
We research animal-free alternatives, connect with suppliers, and recommend suitable alternatives.
3. Fund
We provide funding to support a validation project to test the recommended animal-free products.
4. Promote
We promote the validation project with the wider community, highlighting scientific, economic, and ethical comparisons between the animal-derived and animal-free products.
